36011 Corgi   Hawk T1A - Red Arrows 50th Display Season 2014 (2,000) £
      Out of stock

Hawk T1A - Red Arrows 50th Display Season 2014. Limited edition of only 2,000 pieces. Comes with a transfer set with nine different aircraft serial numbers.

The Red Arrows is arguably the best known aerobatic team in the world and in 2014 the team's Hawk aircraft have a new tail fin design celebrating their 50th Display Season.

The dual control BAe Systems Hawk T1 is the RAF's advanced trainer, and has been used by the Red Arrows since 1979, replacing the Folland Gnat. The Hawk's Rolls Royce Adour engine produces 5,200lbs of thrust and can power the aircraft to a top speed of Mach 1.2. The aircraft had a maximum altitude of 48,000ft and fuel capacity gives a range of 1,000nm, making most of the world accessible apart from New Zealand.

The smoke generation system pumps diesel mixed with appropriately coloured dye into the jet exhaust to produce the colourful vapour trails that enhance both visual effect and flight safety. This allows five minutes of white smoke, one of red and one of blue.
