Corgi Aviation Archive AA27301 is this excellent new 1/72 scale casting of Hawker Fury Mk I serial K5674 of the Historic Aircraft Collection, based at the Imperial War Museum at Duxford. Limited edition of only 2,000 pieces.

The only known surviving Hawker Fury in the world, K5674, is a superb tribute to what is often called "the most beautiful biplane ever". With its polished metal engine cowlings the Fury almost reflects the art deco design movement popular in the 1930s. The Fury was as deadly as it was beautiful and was one of the most potent fighters of its day. Capable of over 200mph and very manoeuvrable, the Fury saw service right up to the first few years of the Second World War. This particular machine was sent to South Africa after its RAF service ended in 1940 and was found there by the Historic Aircraft Collection. Painstakingly restored, the Fury once again graced the skies of Great Britain on 30th July 2012. The Fury fuselage formed the basis of the Hurricane monoplane fighter, which is widely acclaimed to have been Britains saviour during the Battle of Britain in 1940.
