  Aviation Archive AA37207 is this superb Handley Page Halifax GR MkII HR686 of 502 Squadron, Royal Air Force Coastal Command based at Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis, in the Western Isles of Scotland in 1944. Limited edition of only 1,000 pieces. Now really hard to find.

On its 100th Mission Halifax HR686 was shot down by a German Anti-Aircraft ship. The Canadian Pilots Flt Lt Pat McManus & Fg Off Lawrence kept the surviving aircrew together until they were rescued and imprisoned by the "Amisia" which had shot them Down. Both pilots were awarded the DFC for their efforts to save their Crew.

The Halifax was one of the RAF 4 Engined heavy Bombers. It was used for bombing, mine laying, Glider towing, Paratroop dropping and Maritime Patrols.

This finely detailed 417 mm ( 16.5 inch) Wingspan diecast model of the famous "HALIBAG" is finished as a GR2 version with Grey, Green & off White Maritime Camouflage & Code J2 of 502 Sqn. It comes with detailed Cockpit with pilot and aircrew figures, Later shape streamlined Nose, Upper gun turret, Tail gun turret, Bomb Bay with optional Open or Closed bomb Doors, Ventral radome, Open or Retracted undercarriage plus Heavy Duty Display Stand.

This is a very low Limited Edition of only 1000 pieces.
