Plane crazy is the web name for the company Chris Lem Models. In that capacity we
have been selling the fantastic range of superbly accurate diecast metal Corgi Aviation
Archive model planes for over 22 years. During that time we have developed a comprehensive
knowledge of the range, which now consists of about 800 different models, and will happily
answer any questions you may have on the subject. We have also built up an excellent
reputation for the quality of our planes and satisfying our customers.
I have been interested in diecast models since I was 2 years old. My parents
bought me the Matchbox King-Size K4-1 McKormick International Tractor,
and I am told that “tractor” was my first word. Maybe that
explains why I ended up in Lincolnshire. As a lad I managed to buy some
of the last Dinky military vehicles available in the shops, which I still
have. This really fuelled my interest in diecast models. I have remained
as passionate about them ever since and this led me to found my company.
A long RAF career possibly led me to start looking at Aviation Archive
models when they were launched in 1998, as I collect these in addition
to selling them. When I launched this company I never truly appreciated
just what a well-informed, loyal and friendly bunch my fellow Aviation
Archive collectors are! We swap information and chat regularly about the
range. Collectors have seen some of their their planes double or treble
in value, thus representing an excellent investment with the added bonus
that they look great in your cabinet.
Long may it continue, please come and join the happy band!
